Jonas Masetti's YouTube channel has over 122,000 subscribers and thousands of videos. For those just arriving, it can seem impossible to know where to start. This guide solves that.

The Basics First
If you've never heard of Vedānta, start with the introductory videos. Jonas has a series called "Introduction to Vedānta" that covers the fundamentals: what Vedānta is, why study it, how the method works, what the Vedas are.
These videos are short (15-30 minutes) and use accessible language. You don't need to know any Sanskrit, any Indian philosophy.
The Vedanta Cast
The Vedanta Cast is Jonas's podcast. Over 1000 episodes on everything: meditation, emotions, relationships, life purpose, death, fear, anger — always from the perspective of Vedānta.

If you have a specific question — fear, anxiety, meaning of life — search the Vedanta Cast. There's probably an episode about it.
Bhagavad Gītā Classes
If you've grasped the basics and want to go deeper, the Bhagavad Gītā classes are the natural next step. Jonas teaches verse by verse, explaining the context, the Sanskrit, and the practical application.
The Gītā is the entry text of the tradition. It's where everyone begins formal study.
Guided Meditation
Jonas has a series of guided meditations that is one of the most accessed on the channel. If you want to start meditating but don't know how, these meditations provide the structure.
But be aware: meditation in Vedānta is not relaxation. It's preparation of the mind to receive knowledge. The difference is important.
What to Avoid at the Beginning
Don't start with the advanced Upaniṣads classes. They assume you already understand the fundamentals — karma yoga, dharma, Īśvara, ātman. Without this foundation, the classes will seem too abstract.
Consistency is More Important Than Quantity
It's better to watch one video a day attentively than to binge 20 videos over a weekend. Vedānta needs time to settle. The tradition calls this manana — reflection.
