Meditation for prosperity is a popular — and controversial — topic. Let's be honest: sitting with your eyes closed doesn't make money fall from the sky. But it changes something fundamental: the mind that seeks prosperity.

What is Real Prosperity
In the Vedic tradition, the four human goals (puruṣārthas) include artha — wealth, material security. This is not condemned. It is necessary. The problem is not seeking prosperity — it's believing that it will complete you.
A person can be rich and miserable. Or modest and fulfilled. The difference is not in the bank account — it's in the relationship with what one has.
How Meditation Contributes
- Mental clarity to make better financial decisions
- Less impulsivity — compulsive shopping decreases
- Focus to execute projects with consistency
- Resilience in the face of losses and setbacks
- Gratitude — a real perception of what one already has

Practice: Gratitude Meditation
- Sit in silence for 5 minutes
- Bring to mind three things you are grateful for right now
- Feel each one in your body — don't just think about it
- Remain in this feeling of fullness
- As you open your eyes, carry this perception into your day
The Vision of Vedānta
Real prosperity is knowing that you don't depend on anything external to be complete. This doesn't mean not seeking — it means seeking without desperation. Acting without dependence. Achieving without losing yourself. This is karma yoga applied to financial life.
