Yoga of action — acting with an attitude of offering and acceptance
Karma yoga is the discipline of acting in the world with two fundamental attitudes: īśvara-arpaṇa-buddhi (offering to Īśvara) and prasāda-buddhi (accepting results as prasāda/blessing). It is not a special type of action but an attitude in any action. Karma yoga purifies the mind (citta-śuddhi), removing desires and aversions that block self-knowledge. The Bhagavad Gītā (2.47-48) is the central text on karma yoga.
