The song of the Lord — dialogue between Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna
The Bhagavad Gītā is a 700-verse text within the Mahābhārata, where Kṛṣṇa teaches Arjuna about karma-yoga, bhakti-yoga, and jñāna-yoga. It is considered one of the three sources (prasthāna-traya) of Vedānta, along with the Upaniṣads and the Brahma-sūtra. It addresses practical questions: how to act in the world without losing sight of knowledge.
