Practices and Paths
Contemplation — internalizing knowledge until it becomes lived experience
Nididhyāsana is the third and final step of the Vedāntic method — continuous contemplation that allows the already understood knowledge (through śravaṇa and manana) to neutralize contrary mental habits (pratibandhakas). Even after intellectual understanding, old thought patterns may persist. Nididhyāsana is the practice of keeping the non-dual vision alive until it becomes the natural and spontaneous perspective.
