Grounded trust — placing trust in truth
Śraddhā is not blind faith — it is trust based on understanding. It is the ability to recognize truth when adequately presented. In the Bhagavad Gītā (4.39), Kṛṣṇa says that one who has śraddhā attains knowledge. Śraddhā is trusting in the teacher, the scriptures, and the method — not blindly, but as a starting point for investigation that leads to certainty.
