*Eva* emphasizes: action only. The fruits? Many factors are involved. Not yours.
It's practical. Act without being attached to the result. Put all your energy into the action. Peace comes. The ego lets go.
The Divine Promise: When Dharma Declines
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत । अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥
परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् । धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥
*yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata* *abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmānaṁ sṛjāmy aham*
*paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām* *dharma-saṁsthāpanārthāya sambhavāmi yuge yuge* *(Bhagavad Gītā 4.7-8)*
Translation: "Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion—at that time I descend Myself. To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the platform of religious principles, I advent Myself millennium after millennium."

Pure solace. Is dharma at risk? The Divine acts. *Glāni*: obscured, not vanished.

The Eternal Nature of the Soul: Beyond Death and Birth
न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचित् नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूयः । अजो नित्यः शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे ॥
*na jāyate mriyate vā kadācit* *nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ* *ajo nityaḥ śāśvato 'yaṁ purāṇo* *na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre* *(Bhagavad Gītā 2.20)*
Translation: "For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once come into being, will the soul ever cease to be. The soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, and primeval. She is not slain when the body is slain."
The Teaching on the Immortal Nature of Being
A Vedic foundation. The body ends. The *ātman* does not. *Aja*, *nitya*, *śāśvata*, *purāṇa*.
It liberates from fear. Act knowing: you are eternal. Karma yoga gains strength.
Total Surrender: The Final Verse of the Gītā
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज । अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुच ॥
