Worship ritual — structured devotional expression
Pūjā is a worship ritual where the devotee offers water, flowers, incense, light, and food to a representation of Īśvara (mūrti). In Vedānta, pūjā is a practice of karma yoga and bhakti yoga — an opportunity to cultivate the attitude of offering (arpaṇa-buddhi) and gratitude (prasāda-buddhi). Pūjā is not idolatry — it is the recognition that Īśvara is in everything and can be worshipped through any form.
