Sañcita

Sañcita-karma is the total stock of karma accumulated in all past lives, not yet experienced. Part of it is selected for each new life as prārabdha. Together with āgāmi (in formation) and prārabdha (in progress), it completes the triple classification. Jñāna burns sañcita and āgāmi — they can germinate no more; only prārabdha continues until exhausted, keeping the body of the jñānī until natural death.
