Divine form — sacred representation of Īśvara for worship
Mūrti is a sacred representation of Īśvara — a form through which the devotee can direct devotion. In Vedānta, mūrti is not God limited to a form but God accessed through a form. After prāṇa-pratiṣṭhā (consecration), the mūrti is treated as the living presence of Īśvara.
