Empirical level of reality — the world as we experience it
Vyāvahārika is the empirical or transactional level of reality — the world as experienced in the waking state. It is neither absolute reality (pāramārthika) nor false like a dream (prātibhāsika). At this level, natural laws, causal relations, and distinctions between subject and object operate normally. Vedānta does not deny the practical validity of this level, but points out it is not the ultimate truth.
